JOLIET, Ill. Cheap Nike LeBron James Basketball Shoes China . -- Chase Elliott is proving to be a quick study. A few questions for his teammates and a couple practice laps, and he was ready to roll in his first race at Chicagoland Speedway. Elliott held off Trevor Bayne to earn his third Nationwide Series win of the season Saturday night, putting the rookie on top of the standings. "We had an awesome race going," Elliott said. "I try to make the most of my practice laps. They gave me a good car. That gives me time to learn the track in practice." Elliott had a strong car all day long for JR Motorsports, qualifying third and leading a race-high 85 laps. Bayne tried to chase him down on fresh tires in the final laps, but ran out of time. "The gap was closing," Bayne said. "Probably 10 more laps, but well never know." Elliott, the son of former NASCAR champion Bill Elliott, also won in his first trips to Texas and Darlington this year. He leads the standings by seven points over Regan Smith. Chase Elliott said Smith and Kasey Kahne provided some importance advice about the track. "I did have some questions that I asked, and I definitely think that helped tonight," he said. "So thankful to have a couple great teammates and good to have something to lean back on with those guys." Kyle Larson was third, followed by Kahne and Ty Dillon to round out the top five. Brian Scott, who started on the pole, finished sixth and earned $100,000 in the second event of the four-race "Dash 4 Cash" bonus program. Kahne and Larson were the lone Sprint Cup regulars in the field on an off weekend for NASCARs top series. Everyone comes back to Chicagoland in September on the same weekend that the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship begins at the 1.52-mile oval. The night began with a pair of Richard Childress Racing teammates in front after Scott and Dillon had the best showing in qualifying. It was Scotts second pole of the season and No. 4 for his career. He won his first Nationwide Series pole at Chicagoland on Sept. 17, 2011. Scott led for 20 laps before Elliott moved in front. Erik Jones finished seventh in his Nationwide debut, driving Joe Gibbs Racings No. 20 Toyota. The 18-year-old Jones won the Truck Series race last week at Iowa in the No. 51 Kyle Busch Motorsports Toyota he shares with Busch. Jones also won a Truck race last year in Phoenix. Jones is expected to make two more Nationwide starts in Matt Kenseths car this season. "It was definitely a learning experience for me and everybody involved," he said. "I feel like I learned a lot the whole night and really picked up on some things that will help me through the next couple." Jones got some advice from Busch in preparation for his first run in the series. "A lot of what we talked about was working through traffic and it definitely helped out," Jones said. "It was something I was able to apply right away tonight and use to my advantage." Smith, who led the series standings by eight points over Elliott Sadler coming into the day, started 15th after a disappointing qualifying session, and it just got worse during the race. He never got into the mix on his way to 16th place. It was similar to last year, when Smith was on top of the series heading into the first stop at Chicagoland, and then slid into the infield on Lap 129 and finished 13th. He had the same finish in the September race at the same track. Cheap Basketball Shoes Authentic .com) - Whew! After a tight first half, the Croatians took command in Reykjavik after Skulason was dismissed for a professional foul in the 51st minute, but couldnt find a way past Iceland goalkeeper Hannes Halldorsson and his packed defence. Eduardo had a weak shot cleared away from near the goalline after barely a minute for Croatia, whose substitute Ivica Olic forced a fine reaction save from Halldorsson in the 55th. OAKLAND, Calif. -- Nate Robinson has played for seven teams, so beating one of them is no longer a rare occurrence. Still, it never gets old. Robinson scored 14 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter and the streaky Denver Nuggets outlasted the Golden State Warriors 123-116 on Wednesday night. "Ive embraced it," said Robinson, in his first season with the Nuggets. "I keep a journal every game. I write to myself and just reflect on my career. Its helped me cope with not getting the contract that I want or playing time or being on one team." Wilson Chandler and Ty Lawson each scored 22 points, and J.J. Hickson grabbed a season-high 24 rebounds to help give Oakland native and first-year Nuggets coach Brian Shaw a victory in his hometown. But Robinsons latest return to Golden State, where he played 51 games during the 2011-12 season, overshadowed Shaw late. The 29-year-old reserve guard finished 9-of-12 shooting, including 6 of 8 in the fourth quarter. "For me, my home is the NBA no matter what team I play for," Robinson said. "Ill always play the same way. Ill always play the right way, try to play to win and Im going to play with my heart every night, no matter how many minutes I play and how many teams I play for. If I could be the first player to ever play for every team in the league, I want to do it." David Lee had 28 points and 11 rebounds, and Stephen Curry scored 24 for the well-rested Warriors, who took the lead with 1:13 remaining before the Nuggets pulled away again. Golden State, which had won 11 of 12, hadnt played since beating Boston on Friday night. "Thats an excuse. I would say its because we were bad," Warriors coach Mark Jackson said. "Defensively, thats as bad as it gets." Both teams pushed the pace from the start in a back-and-forth game with incredible scores and few stops. For most of the fourth, Robinson stole the show. He made consecutive 3-pointers, a driving layup, a long jumper and a step-back shot during a scintillating display of offence that put Denver ahead 113-105 with 3:44 to play. "Hes a streaky player, and when hes on a good streak, hes as good as anybody in the league," Shaw said. The Warriors kept on coming, though, getting contributions from all over -- Curry hit a 3-pointer, Lee followed with a dunk and Klay Thompson madde a pull-up jumper to bring the Warriors within one. Cheap Nike Kevin Durant Basketball Shoes China. After Chandler made a pair of free throws, Lee went 3 of 4 from the line to give Golden State a 116-115 lead. Hickson came back with a running shot that put the Nuggets back in front, then stole the ball from Curry and converted a layup on the other end while getting fouled to finish with 13 points. He missed the free throw, but Denver got the rebound. And after Lawson missed a jumper, Hickson grabbed another board. Lawson hit both free throws to give the Nuggets a 121-116 lead. Then Curry missed an open 3-pointer following a timeout to send most of the sellout crowd of 19,596 to the exits. "Theyre a team that can really score the basketball," Lee said, "so to put yourself in a hole really makes it tough." The two-faced Nuggets showed their better side in a rematch of last seasons first-round playoff series won by Golden State. Denver won seven straight from Nov. 21 to Dec. 3 and five in a row before losing at Utah on Monday night. The Nuggets also had an eight-game losing streak from Dec. 17 to Jan. 1. Golden States bench was short-handed after the team sent struggling backup guard Toney Douglas to the Miami Heat in a three-team trade. The Warriors acquired Jordan Crawford and reserve MarShon Brooks from the Boston Celtics, but neither player was available in time to face the Nuggets. Golden State had enough trouble with its starting unit in this one. The Nuggets shot 62 per cent in the first half to take a 65-58 lead. The Warriors shot 48 per cent before the break -- a solid performance on most nights -- but never could slow down Denver. Golden State tightened up defensively at the beginning of the third to briefly go ahead. Denver ended the quarter on an 11-2 run capped by Evan Fourniers half-court heave as time expired to carry a 91-82 lead into the fourth. NOTES: Warriors general manager Bob Myers said backup centre Jermaine ONeal is about two to three weeks from returning from right wrist surgery. Myers also said fellow big man Festus Ezeli, out all season recovering from knee surgery, will likely be out until at least March. ... In addition to long-term injuries to Danilo Gallinari (left knee) and JaVale McGee (left leg), the Nuggets were without forward Anthony Randolph (left ankle) and Andre Miller (indefinite leave).
